Sony is now alone in the smartphone market after Ericsson and sold its share to the former. The very first handset Sony has announced is the Sony Xperia S.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been announced and features Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It will probably arrive in the Philippines by next month with a estimated price of Php30,000.

Aside from that 5.3-incher Galaxy Note that Samsung announced, they’re also re-introducing the 7-inch tablet — this time, it comes with a stunning 7.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display — the Galaxy Tab 7.7 P6800.
At 7.9mm on the side, this is now the thinnest tablet ever.

There’s a TV-out port which could be a micro-HDMI and a micro-SD slot as well. Support for HSPA+ network is also present.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 was just announced at IFA in Germany today and makes it the very first tablet with a Super AMOLED Plus display.
The HTC Chacha is now released in the Philippines and is exclusive to Smart for the first month. Price of the HTC Chacha is still not available in retail but the prepaid kit will be Php15,500 with Smart.
The elusive HTC Flyer made a quick stop-over at home over the week-end. It’s been out since last month although HTC Philippines did not really made any official launch event (which should have been done along with the Sensation and Wildfire S).

Samsung has yet another superphone up its sleeve but it’s not any better than the S2 — the Samsung Galaxy Z is supposed to be a cheaper alternative to the i9100 SII .
